Sreya Sarker
Sreya Sarker is a graphic designer and printmaker based in Kolkata, India. She has dual design experience. On the one hand, she received education at the Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta, which taught her about the aesthetic impact of visual expression. On the other hand, she gained an understanding of design's commercial impact, which influenced her knowledge of visual presence and application. From 2007 until 2014, she worked as a graphic design instructor, responsible for teaching students about economically viable design structures. We designed the course to equip students with an understanding of design's marketability and the notion of creating as a viable business pursuit. Sreya worked with an organization that fostered community-based craft companies from 2014 to 2021. She worked closely with traditional rural artists in India, who participate in multi-generational traditions of creative engagement through craft production. Sreya has participated in other book design and artwork endeavors. She actively participates in the creation of financially profitable goods that are in harmony with traditional art forms and their historical significance. In addition, she has served as a design coach and aptitude analyzer for ambitious design students.
The convergence between sensory experiences and self-expression, the combination of visual imagery and written words, and the interplay between embodied and abstract emotions create meaningful statements. These diverse transformational techniques generate new dynamic ontologies. Examining the whole sequence of these mutations evokes a distinct perception of reality in all individuals involved or enrolled at CCL. They engage in creative transdisciplinary and discursive interventions, operating in the present and referencing the past. The innovative research practices at Cambridge Creation Lab aim to incorporate narrative analysis and configurations. We help student researchers create coherent yet spontaneous illustrations by drawing inspiration from various disciplines. The ultimate goal is to gain a deep understanding of the true essence of art across different cultures. Our comprehensive approach to learning will prioritize the creation of visually striking, tangible, but imaginative thoughts and ideas. Sreya's role will include assisting students in contemplating the dialectical perspective and developing their ability to combine and enhance their perceptual skills by synthesizing visible and less apparent representations.
Sreya observes crowds and enjoys studying behavioral patterns as a leisure activity. According to her, the crowd is crucial for solving any situation. Understanding human patterns may assist in comprehending every design requirement.
